WHY RECYCLED COTTON FIBER?

Can you detail the process from start to finish - from the European garment factories sending the pre-consumer cotton waste to your factory through the recycling process of how the cotton scraps are turned into rope?

Our recycled premium goods have been created here in Turkey by using woven knitted surplus fibres from the well-known gourmet factories in our region in Turkey and Europe. In detail this unused garment- factory- wastes are 70% cotton and 30% recycled polyester. These goods are factory wastes not used clothes. They were giving us that percentage to make sure they will be on the safe side.

These are all certified from the first step to end under government strict controls.

In general when it comes to recycling, giving your customers about the ingredients might not be fully accurate. In the recycled textile industry these percentages can be barrable and this process is very nature friendly for sure.

Basically All the unused gourmet factory woven knitted surplus fibres comes back to the Spinning mill and gets pretty much the same process to become yarn, after that we get the yarn and make ropes or strings again in our factory.

Can you share more about the environmental impact of this switch to recycled cotton? Are there any metrics on carbon footprint reduction that we can share with our community?

Since there are lots of issues globally like air pollution, global warming, environmental pollution, we wanted to make a sensitive touch and offer recycled products as well. With this regard, most of the textiles wastes being back to art, so we thank you fort he recycled products buyers and their end users for their environmental awareness, that they made us the part of.

What were the biggest road-blocks for switching to recycled cotton?

We have been working for little over a year and was not sure what will be the customer's response because of the change. As you can realize every person is different and think differently. Since we are in textile industry for many years of experiences, we have seen that there have been much more demand for recycled cotton materials for spinning yarn and weaving fibres and knitted fibres, that meant us to move for recycled cotton in macramé too. Coz more people are aware to keep clean worlds, clean weather, clean air, clean soil, clean oceans and of course we are also happy to use recycled materials to show our own company awareness for nature and for the future of humanism.

How long have you been working on making the switch?

Little more than a year to find the right and best product.

Note:

This is not the used garment materials that collected from Garbage!

These are the very high quality and carefully collected knitted and woven fibre garment’s waste at sewing shop

lines.(mostly  like shirt, thsirt and their collars, pillow, socks and  production faults in textile industry)

*Please note that even though we do our very best to display our colors as accurately as possible, actual colors may vary slightly from what you see on your screen. In addition there may be slight color variation between different manufacturing batches of rope; exact color-matching of older rope and newer rope may not be possible.( *** cotton charesteristcs )
